LOCATION GUARDAMAR

Guardamar del Segura owes its very existence and livelihood to the dunes that have shaped it. Forests, dunes, and beaches make this area a paradise on the Costa Blanca. Guardamar’s strategic position on a hill has made it an ideal settlement for the cultures that have inhabited this part of Spain over the centuries.

Located between Santa Pola and Torrevieja, it is approximately a 45-minute drive from the international airport of Alicante. The resort town has developed directly on the beach, and inland towns and villages are easily accessible via the excellent local road network.

Guardamar is a developing tourist resort and is one of the most important destinations on the Southern Costa Blanca. It is not yet as heavily commercialized as other tourist resorts on the Costa Blanca, and therefore retains much of its typical Spanish charm. Guardamar has much to offer, with numerous fine restaurants, many specializing in local cuisine as well as international dishes.

Guardamar del Segura is renowned for its 12 kilometers of fine sandy beaches, ideal for water sports. The wide range of accommodation options makes this an important tourist town. The beaches of Guardamar include Los Tusales Beach (for nude bathing), Los Viveros Beach, De la Babilònia Beach, Playa Centro, La Roqueta Beach, El Moncayo Beach, Playa del Campo, and Les Ortigues Beach.

All the beaches are golden sandy beaches with sand dunes and are surrounded by pine, palm, and eucalyptus trees. With the beaches being as long and wide as they are, they are never overcrowded, even during the summer months when Guardamar del Segura is at its busiest. Sunbeds are available at all the beaches and are cleaned daily. At Playa Centro and Playa Roqueta, you will also find water sports.

CLIMATE

Guardamar is surrounded by two saltwater lakes that form the Salinas de Guardamar. These saltwater lakes are a national nature reserve and attract a large variety of birdlife. The concentrations of salt and warm temperatures give Guardamar a healthy microclimate, which is recommended by doctors for various ailments such as respiratory issues and aching joints.

Throughout the year, Guardamar enjoys great weather conditions. In the summer, daily temperatures average over 30°C, and even during winter, temperatures rarely drop below 15°C, making an apartment in Guardamar ideal for golfing holidays in the winter sun.

You can spend your whole holiday in Guardamar enjoying the beaches, restaurants, and café lifestyle, but if you want to explore the Costa Blanca, there are plenty of short day trips outside of Guardamar that are worth seeing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR HOLIDAY HOME
We kindly ask you to read the following information carefully.

What happens after I have booked an accommodation? 
You have booked an accommodation through our website. We will send the travel documents to your email address as soon as possible. After our confirmation, your booking is definite.

When do I make the down payment?
The down payment of 30% of the rental price has to be made within 5 days after the invoice date. All payments have to be pay through bank transfer. Your payment statement and the booking confirmation together can be used as the rental contract.

Do I need to pay a damage deposit?
Yes, you will have to pay a deposit of 250 to 300€. This deposit will be refunded to you within 8 days after departure. Possible costs for damage will be deducted from the refunded deposit.

Once you are back home, I would also like to ask you to provide your bank account number so that we can refund the security deposit quickly and efficiently.

How do I arrange the Key handover?
We list all properties on behalf of owners who have appointed a local management team. This team ensures that your holiday accommodation is ready for your arrival and is available to assist you during your stay. If there are any delays in your arrival, please inform the accommodation manager, as they may have multiple appointments at different locations.

To ensure that everything goes smoothly for your upcoming stay, we would like to receive your arrival details as soon as possible.
We kindly request that you provide this information no later than 4 weeks before your arrival date. This will help us make the necessary preparations for your stay. 

The accommodation manager is been informed about your booking today. The details of the accommodation manager will be given to you after we receive your mail.

At what time do I need to arrive at my holiday home?
Every day of arrival is also a day of departure. Guests are able to arrive between 16.00 and 23.00 hrs. On the day of departure you have to leave the accommodation before 11.00 hrs. You will find more information in your travel documents.

Key deliveries after 23.00 hours at additional costs 25€, refundable form the deposit.  In case you would like to arrive earlier or later, please discuss this with the accommodation manager. It may be an option!

Are bed and bath linen included in the rental price?
Kitchen, bed and bath linen are included in the rental price. We advise our guests to bring a beach towel themselves to use at the swimming pool or at the beach. The same goes for the bedding for baby cots.

Use of electricity
The rental rates include energy costs, except when your consumption exceeds 85 kWh for a 2-bedroom property or 120 kWh for a 3-bedroom property. In these instances, any excess usage will be deducted from your deposit at a rate of 0.35€ per kWh.

The key manager will be available to provide further clarification on -site.
